Welcome to Created to Create. Here's your host, Amy. Hello, and welcome to the very first episode of Created to Create. I'm your host, Amy, and I am so incredibly grateful you're here.
0:14
Look, if you've ever felt like there is a massive gap between the promises you have read in scripture or heard about with God's promise and the everyday reality of your life, you are not alone.
0:25
For years, the personal development world has talked about manifestation and the law of attraction, while the church has talked about having faith and renewing the mind.
0:36
But what if I told you they are talking about the exact same spiritual laws, just with different perspectives of the source? God didn't create you to just survive.
0:46
He built a creative blueprint directly into your system because you were quite literally created to create.
0:53
In this podcast, we are merging the timeless principles of Charles Haanel's Master Key System with the unchanging truth of the word of God to help you unlock what's already inside you. Let's get into it.
1:05
In today's episode, I'm sharing a bit about one of my favorite books of all time, The Master Key System.
1:12
It was written in 1910, so I'll be honest, it's not written in a language that makes it very simple to understand in today's terms. But the point of the book isn't just to read it one time through and be done.
1:23
It's meant to be a guide for your entire life. In fact, the first nine parts of the book are what have shaped me and inspired me to design more for my life beyond what I had been doing for so long.
1:35
I've spent almost a decade just focused on learning and understanding these concepts. Three of these years have just been devoted to nine chapters of this book.
1:44
What I've learned has shaped and served as a real aha moment for everything that I have learned in the last decade around positive psychology and leadership development.
1:54
It wasn't until recently, though, that I had an even bigger aha moment. It's when I really started devoting myself to reading the Bible.
2:02
I realized very quickly that all the principles that I've learned that are science-backed actually have biblical promise as well.
2:10
In fact, everything you know about manifestation, law of attraction, visualization, positive thinking, these are all principles that are spoken about in the Bible. God actually gave us these superpowers.
2:25
Many people try to fall back on a limited scope of personal development and leadership. You've probably heard that if people want change, then they need to make the effort to change.
2:34
This is the same for fitness and diet, too. Willpower fails, though. Willpower is conscious. Transformation is subconscious. It's the heart in scripture. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7.
2:49
In The Master Key System, Haanel shares a concept that is really important to grasp at the beginning of any transformation journey.
2:56
I'll share that today as one of the first steps into understanding his work and why, if you're searching for something different, something to take you to the next level in your life, using these principles is so critical.
3:08
The concept is that much gathers more, and loss leads to great loss. Sure, you can see this played out in many ways with money or tangible things.
3:19
The rich get richer, the poor get poorer is a way many people view this concept. But what Haanel is saying by focusing on this concept is that it's a mindset.
3:28
In fact, the entire way we think also is built on this framework. Remember, much gathers more.
3:35
Now, before we go down too deep into introducing you to what I call the creative circuit, which is a formula I've developed to help seekers of change understand how the mind and subconscious work together to shape our reality, I wanna first take a step back to clear up something about your conscious thinking.
3:51
Just because willpower fails, that doesn't mean it doesn't serve a purpose. Conscious thinking is the first and possibly most important aspect of our creative circuit to get right.
4:02
The way you think is critically important. So from today's episode, your only takeaway is think about how you think.
4:09
I wanna take a moment to share a little bit about my book that is coming soon to a bookshelf or app near you.
4:15
In my book, I explain how every principle explained perfectly in The Master Key System is a biblically accurate truth, a God-given ability, and how you can leverage this to unlock your power to create your new reality.
4:30
Until then, you can download the free guide to mastering your God-given abilities at mindrenewacus.com. Now let's get back to this episode.
4:39
If you're one of those people who just goes on about life, never really paying attention to your inner voice, that's okay. It's natural.
4:47
Your inner voice can easily become more of a soundtrack and less of a directional announcement when you aren't paying close enough attention. And let's face it, in today's world, who is really paying attention?
4:59
We let the constant scrolling of social media be our narrative in our heads because it's just easier to tune out what's really happening within us. I've definitely been there.
5:09
The desire to just numb my mind with pointless television or videos to help me focus on something that isn't work or stress. But our conscious minds are constantly feeding our subconscious. So this is just laziness.
5:25
This is actually very much against what God has intended for us to do with our minds. Look, everything I will have to say about how you're probably using your conscious thoughts are hard truths.
5:36
These hard truths are not fun to admit, but like any moment when you are seeking change, you have to accept there is something worth changing. Something is just not working for you.
5:46
I hope after listening today, you are inspired to take a moment to question how your thinking is impacting your ability to create a better reality for yourself.
5:54
I challenge you this week as we just get started in this exploration together to interrupt your internal narrative three times today and ask one simple question.
6:05
Is the thought I am entertaining right now building what I want or destroying it? Categorize the thoughts cleanly as good or bad, faith or fear, confidence or doubt.
6:17
Taking just one day to actively think about how you think will start to change the script, or at least be a really good wake-up call to start the transformation.
6:27
In the next episode, we'll discuss the creative circuit in more depth and introduce some biblical promises that you may not be taking to heart. This is just the beginning.
6:36
You know your homework for the next day is simple. Watch your mind. Watch what you entertain.
